Use These Two Methods to Reduce Moire Patterns in After Effects. Set the Blurriness to 5, go the Adjustment Layer Settings and change the Transform mode from Normal to Color. This way the Blur filter that you’ve just applied will affect only the Color Channel, not the Lumenocity of your clip. This workflow should instantly eliminate most of the nasty moire colour shimmering that you see in your video. I tried a few of the existing filters without visible results. My first Google searches haven't turned up a good detailed tutorial on moire removal.

Often there is a need to remove unwanted elements in a image, such as the background. There are multiple methods.
Method 1: Magic Wand[edit]
An easy method is to use the Magic Wand selectionl.
- Firstly, right click on the layer you are working on and add an alpha channel if there is not already one. (Select Layer, Transparency, Add Alpha Channel.)
- Now switch to the Magic Wand tool. Make sure the mode is set to Add to the current selection. (Mode is on Toolbox palette, just below 'Fuzzy select')
- Select all the parts that you want to erase by simply clicking in the area.
- Press Delete.
Method 2: Colour to Alpha[edit]
An alternative method is Colour to Alpha. This method works better with logos with less than 5 colours. Dandelion full game download.
- Firstly, right click on the layer you are working on and add an alpha channel if required.
- Select <Image> Colours > Colour to Alpha.
- Set the colour after the 'From:' label to the colour that you would like to remove.
- Click OK.
- Repeat steps 1-4 for any other colours that you need to remove.
Method 3: Foreground Select[edit]
A new method is the Foreground Select tool. This is best when there is only one thing in the foreground which you want to keep.
- Firstly, select the Foreground Select tool.
- Mark out a rough area around the foreground.
- Scribble in the foreground only. Repeat scribbling until the coloured boundary is tightly around the foreground.
- Press ENTER.
- Go to <Image> Select > Invert.
- Press Delete
Method 4: Use Resynthesizer to remove timestamps[edit]
To remove items like timestamps with GIMP, you may use the Resynthesizer plugin[1]. Just install it and try 'Filter' → 'Enhance' → 'Heal Selection'

A Moiré pattern is a form of distortion that sometimes occurs in digital images scanned from sources that were printed using the halftone method, such as newspapers and magazines. The tiny, colored dots used in halftone printing are misinterpreted by the scanner, producing unwanted wavy lines throughout the image. The process of removing these lines is known as descreening. Install two free extensions — the Descreen script and the Fourier plugin — to descreen an image using GIMP.
1.Close GIMP before installing the necessary script and plugin.
2.Download the Descreen script file from the GIMP Plugin Registry (see Resources) and place it in the 'C:Program FilesGIMP-2.0sharegimp2.0scripts' folder.
3.Download the GIMP Fourier plugin file from the GIMP Plugin Registry (see Resources) and place it in the 'C:Program FilesGIMP-2.0libgimp2.0plug-ins' folder. The next time you launch GIMP, it automatically registers the Descreen script and the Fourier plugin, making them available for use.
4.Launch GIMP. When its interface appears, open the “File” menu and select “Open.” A file browser popup appears.
5.Use the file browser popup to navigate to and open the file to which you want to apply the descreening effect. GIMP loads and displays the image.
6.Open the “Filter” menu and select “Descreen” from the “Enhance” submenu. The “Descreen” script interface appears.
7.Set the “Sensitivity” parameter to 64. The sensitivity can be set as high as 124, but is unlikely to produce the desired effect at levels above 100, where blurring will occur. Because descreening is an imprecise process, finding the correct sensitivity setting is a matter of trial and error. You may need to try several settings before finding the right one.
8.Place a check mark in the box labeled “Despeckle” and leave the “Ratio For Middle Preservation” parameter as it is.
9.Click “OK.” GIMP uses the Fourier plugin to run the descreening script. Depending on the size of the image, the process may take some time. An alert appears when the process is complete.
10.Review the results of the descreening process. If the image is blurred or the Moiré pattern is still visible, open the “Edit” menu and select “Undo” to reverse the process and try again.
11.Repeat Steps 7 through 10 using different sensitivity settings until you achieve the result you want. For example, if the image was blurred in the first attempt, adjust the sensitivity downward by five points; if the Moiré pattern was still visible after the last attempt, adjust the sensitivity upward by five points. Eventually, you’ll find a sensitivity setting that completely removes the Moiré pattern while not blurring the image.
